Start under the desk

Get power bricks and surge protectors off the floor. Mount a surge protector under the desk, then run a single cable (or a magnetic leg channel) down to the wall. Most of the mess disappears in one step.

Bundle, then route

  1. Bundle runs of cables that travel together with a sleeve or hook-and-loop ties.
  2. Route the bundles along the underside of the desk with adhesive or screw-in mounts.
  3. Clip the cables you plug and unplug every day (phone, laptop) to the desk edge.

Standing desks need slack

Leave a service loop so cables can travel the desk’s full height range without pulling tight. A leg channel keeps that slack tidy instead of swinging free.
